September 8, 2026 4:30 PM

Allegion plc (NYSE: ALLE) has appointed Serge Zappone as president of International and senior vice president, effective Jan. 1, 2027, succeeding Tim Eckersley, who plans to retire Dec. 31, 2026.

Zappone will join Allegion's executive leadership team, reporting to President and CEO John H. Stone. He currently leads Allegion's Asia-Pacific business, a role in which he reported to Eckersley. Zappone joined Allegion in 2020 and has held roles of increasing responsibility within the Allegion International segment.

Eckersley, a founding member of the Allegion executive leadership team, joined the company before its 2013 spinoff from Ingersoll Rand. He first served as president of Allegion Americas before transitioning to lead Allegion International in January 2021. His career spans 40 years.

Eckersley will continue in his current role through the end of 2026 and work with Zappone on the transition.

"Tim has been a cornerstone of Allegion's success for nearly two decades, bringing invaluable dedication to our company and our culture," Stone said.

Zappone holds more than 30 years of experience in the building products industry, with past leadership roles across Europe and Asia. He earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Monash University and a master's degree in business administration from Melbourne Business School.
