Vantage names Yves Charbonneau as Chief Risk Officer
Vantage Group Holdings Ltd. has appointed Yves Charbonneau as Chief Risk Officer, the Bermuda-based re/insurance company announced. He will join the company's leadership team and succeeds Krista Robinson, who is departing to pursue another opportunity.
Charbonneau holds fellowships from the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) and brings nearly 30 years of actuarial and enterprise risk experience in the insurance and reinsurance industries.
He most recently led the actuarial function at Arch Insurance Company Ltd. in Canada. Prior to that, he spent more than 15 years at Arch Reinsurance Ltd. in Bermuda, where he held roles including Chief Risk Officer, Chief Actuary, and Head of Actuarial Function for Arch Re Europe. He also served as a director and audit committee member of Coface SA.
The appointment follows Vantage's acquisition by Howard Hughes Holdings (NYSE: HHH) in June 2026. Marc Grandisson, Executive Chairman of Vantage, cited Charbonneau's experience building enterprise risk frameworks and leading capital and reserving discipline across multiple platforms as factors in the hire.
Vantage was established in 2020 and operates through subsidiaries Vantage Risk Ltd., Vantage Risk Assurance Company, and Vantage Risk Specialty Insurance Company, all rated "A-" (Excellent) with a Positive Outlook by AM Best as of June 2026.
