Clearmind Medicine Inc. (NASDAQ: CMND) announced that Yale University's Institutional Review Board has approved patient recruitment for Parts B and C of its Phase I/II clinical trial evaluating CMND-100, a compound being studied as a treatment for Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD).

The approval allows Clearmind to expand enrollment at Yale School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry. Yale joins Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, and Hadassah Medical Center, which are already approved and actively recruiting patients. The Yale site is led by Anahita Bassir Nia, MD, a specialist in psychiatry and addiction medicine.

The multicenter trial is formally titled "A Phase I/II Single and Multiple Dose Tolerability, Safety and Pharmacokinetic Study of CMND-100 in Healthy Volunteers and Subjects with AUD."

The IRB approval follows previously reported safety results from Part A of the FDA-regulated trial. All 24 participants across four ascending-dose cohorts completed treatment per protocol. The study met its primary endpoint of safety and tolerability. No serious adverse events were observed, and tolerability was described as consistent across all cohorts, including at the highest dose evaluated.
