Beamr Imaging Ltd. (Nasdaq: BMR) announced it has joined the VAST Data Cosmos Community as a Technology Partner, according to a press release. The collaboration will combine the VAST AI Operating System, Nvidia Video Super Resolution, and Beamr's content-adaptive video technology to process broadcaster and content owner media archives.

The partnership is set to make its first public appearance at IBC 2026, scheduled for September 11–14 in Amsterdam. The demonstration will show a workflow that upscales lower-resolution video to 1080p or 4K using Nvidia Video Super Resolution, then applies Beamr's content-adaptive bitrate technology to reduce the resulting file sizes by up to 50% compared to standard encoding.

The pipeline also supports transcoding of media assets to HEVC or AV1 codecs. The full workflow runs on Nvidia RTX PRO GPUs and can be deployed in the cloud or on-premises.

John Mao, Vice President of Global Technology Alliances at VAST Data, said media companies hold large video archives with untapped value, and that bringing Nvidia-accelerated video enhancement and Beamr's encoding to the VAST AI Operating System allows broadcasters to process content where data already resides.

As part of the partnership, Beamr plans to pursue joint go-to-market initiatives with VAST Data around video and data workflows. The IBC 2026 demonstration represents the first public showcase of the collaboration for the broadcast and media market.
