DPM Metals expands Serbia drilling after copper-gold intercepts
DPM Metals Inc. (TSX: DPM) reported new drilling results from its Dumitru Potok and Rakita North copper-gold-silver prospects on the Čoka Rakita exploration licence in Serbia, according to a company statement.
The drilling extended marble-hosted intrusive skarn mineralization approximately 90 metres west and 100 metres southwest of the existing Mineral Resource, with additional results returned 300 metres to the north. Key intercepts included 246 metres grading 1.36% copper equivalent from drillhole BIDD253, and 50 metres grading 3.68% copper equivalent from DPDD042, which included a 21-metre interval at 5.44% copper equivalent. At Rakita North, drillhole RADDGTH009C returned 76 metres grading 2.66% copper equivalent.
The company said mineralization remains open along strike, laterally, and at depth at both prospects, and that mineralized tonnage may be greater than previously modeled.
In response to the results, DPM Metals is expanding its 2026 drilling program by 12,000 to 15,000 metres, bringing the total planned meterage for the year to approximately 32,000 to 35,000 metres. Ten rigs are currently operating across the licence, with more than 16,000 metres drilled to date. The company said it plans to increase the number of rigs to 15 by the end of 2026 by relocating equipment from other licences during a routine permit-renewal pause.
An updated Mineral Resource estimate for Dumitru Potok is expected by the end of the first quarter of 2027. That estimate is intended to form the basis of a Preliminary Economic Assessment targeted for completion by year-end 2027.
"With mineralization open in all directions, we are increasing our 2026 drilling program for the Rakita Camp up to 35,000 metres," said David Rae, President and Chief Executive Officer of DPM Metals.
