Nova Minerals Corp (NYSE American: NVA) reported that approximately 500 tons of processing and refining equipment arrived at Port MacKenzie, Alaska, ahead of schedule, as the company works toward constructing an antimony processing and refining facility.

The shipment, which departed Seattle on August 26 and arrived in Cook Inlet on September 6, included more than 40 containers and multiple oversized loads carrying crushing, ore sorting, milling, flotation, and refining equipment. The company said the equipment was sourced from a recently decommissioned site in North America.

The project is funded by a $43.4 million award from the U.S. Department of War under Title III of the Defense Production Act. Nova Minerals has set a production target of 2027 for the facility, which is designed to process stibnite-bearing material and initially produce antimony trisulfide. The modular design is intended to allow potential expansion into antimony metal and antimony trioxide production.

CEO Christopher Gerteisen said in a statement that sourcing equipment from a decommissioned site rather than procuring new equipment accelerated the construction timeline and reduced capital costs.

The Port MacKenzie location provides access to a year-round deepwater port, Alaska's road and highway system, and a rail spur connecting to the Alaska Railroad mainline, according to the company's press release.
