Mayfair Gold completes condemnation drilling at Fenn-Gib project
Mayfair Gold Corp. (NYSE American: MINE) reported results from its 2026 summer exploration program at the Fenn-Gib gold project in Northern Ontario, according to a company press release.
The company completed 23 condemnation drill holes totaling 6,184 meters, including two redrills, designed to test proposed locations of key infrastructure identified in a 2026 Pre-Feasibility Study. The drilling confirmed that tested locations remain suitable for planned infrastructure, with no changes required to the current site layout.
As part of the summer geology program, Mayfair mapped more than 95% of known outcrops across the North and South blocks and collected 127 grab samples for gold assay and multi-element geochemical analysis. The company said South Block exploration targets have been advanced toward planned drilling in early 2027.
Adree DeLazzer, P.Geo, Vice President of Exploration, said the season's work "strengthened our geological understanding of the North and South blocks and advanced priority targets on the South Block toward planned drilling in early 2027."
Mayfair is also building a 3D geological and geochemical model at Fenn-Gib, with more than 900 inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry assays completed to date. The company said it is continuing to expand the database to support geo-metallurgy modeling and property-scale exploration.
The company said it is considering options to conduct targeted infill drilling following favorable results from a previously reported grade control program completed in June 2026.
Fenn-Gib hosts an indicated mineral resource of 4.3 million ounces of gold and a probable mineral reserve of approximately one million ounces. The 2026 Pre-Feasibility Study outlines initial development capital of C$450 million, with construction targeted for 2028 and initial production in 2030.
Mayfair said it is finalizing plans for fall and winter exploration programs.
