For the two months ended August 31, 2026, the company averaged 100 drilling rigs operating in the United States.

The company noted that the figures represent drilling rigs earning revenue under a contract in the United States, and cautioned that average rig count alone may not indicate a trend in financial performance.

Patterson-UTI said it plans to continue providing monthly drilling rig updates shortly after the end of each month.
