Six Flags adds installment payment option for season passes
Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (NYSE: FUN) has launched a buy now, pay later payment option called Flex Pay, powered by financial technology company Upgrade, allowing eligible guests to purchase season passes and other qualifying products through fixed monthly installments.
The option is available on eligible online purchases of $49 or more. Approved applicants can begin using their season pass benefits immediately after activation while continuing to make scheduled payments. Early payoff carries no prepayment penalty.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and are subject to credit review by Upgrade's lending partners. Annual percentage rates range from 0% to 36%, with actual terms varying based on credit and other eligibility factors. A down payment may be required. The option is not available in all U.S. states and territories.
Upgrade, founded in 2017 and headquartered in San Francisco, states it has delivered over $50 billion in credit to more than 8 million customers. The company's Flex Pay platform works with travel and retail brands across North America.
Six Flags operates 20 amusement parks, 14 water parks, and nine resort properties across 13 U.S. states, Canada, and Mexico, as well as a park in Saudi Arabia.
