Marti hits 4.9M riders, sets new targets for December 2026
Marti Technologies, Inc. (NYSE American: MRT) announced that its ride-hailing service reached 4.90 million riders and 584,000 registered drivers as of September 2, 2026, surpassing its September 30, 2026 targets a month ahead of schedule.
The number of riders grew 85% year-over-year, while registered drivers increased 57% over the same period. Following the milestone, the company set new targets of 5.65 million riders and 630,000 registered drivers by December 31, 2026.
Marti's ride-hailing operations now cover 30 cities across Türkiye, following a 10-city expansion completed in August 2026. The company states this footprint covers approximately 85% of the country's GDP.
Geographic diversification has increased over the past twelve months. The share of riders based outside of Istanbul grew from 35% to 46%, while the share of registered drivers outside of Istanbul rose from 26% to 36%.
According to a McKinsey & Company estimate cited in the press release, the Turkish taxi market was valued at $9 billion to $12 billion as of 2021. McKinsey projects the potential size of the Turkish ride-hailing market in 2030 at $15 billion to $20 billion under a disruptive scenario.
