Eco Wave Power signs deal with AI engineering GmbH on digital twin platform

Eco Wave Power Global AB (NASDAQ: WAVE) announced that its U.S. subsidiary, Eco Wave Power U.S. Inc., has entered into an agreement with Germany-based AI engineering GmbH to develop a physics- and data-driven digital twin platform for its wave energy technology.



Under the agreement, the companies have begun Phase 1 of the "Eco Wave Power - Digital Twin & Energy-Aware Computing" project, which combines physics-based simulation with Eco Wave Power's engineering, wave, and operational data. The initial phase will focus on digitally modeling how ocean waves interact with the company's proprietary floaters using AI engineering's PAMICS simulation technology, evaluating floater behavior, structural loads, and theoretical energy input under varying sea conditions.



The companies also plan to compare simulated results with real-world sensor data and develop machine-learning capabilities for forecasting energy yield and system loads. Both Eco Wave Power U.S. and AI engineering GmbH are members of the Nvidia Inception program. Nvidia technologies involved include Nvidia Omniverse for digital twin visualization and Nvidia Warp for simulation and modeling.



"For us, AI is not simply a software layer that we add to our technology — it is an opportunity to fundamentally improve how we understand, design, predict and ultimately operate wave energy systems," said Inna Braverman, founder and CEO of Eco Wave Power.



PD Dr.-Ing. habil. Stefan Adami, co-founder and general manager of AI engineering GmbH, said the goal is to create "a physics-based digital representation of Eco Wave Power's system that links high-fidelity simulation with operational data."



A stated objective of the collaboration is to determine how the digital twin model can be adapted to different project locations, with the aim of transferring engineering knowledge as the company expands into new markets. Eco Wave Power currently has projects and development activities in the United States, Europe, and Asia, including a grid-connected installation at Jaffa Port in Israel, a pilot at the Port of Los Angeles, and projects under development in Portugal, Taiwan, and India.
