Global Water Resources raises $20M through stock sale and credit line
Global Water Resources, Inc. (NASDAQ: GWRS) completed a $10.0 million private placement of common stock and expanded its revolving credit facility by $10.0 million, according to a company press release.
The company sold 1,129,944 shares of common stock to accredited investors at $8.85 per share, generating approximately $10.0 million in gross proceeds.
Global Water also amended its revolving credit facility with The Northern Trust Company, raising borrowing capacity from $20.0 million to $30.0 million. The facility's borrowing capacity will decrease to $25.0 million following any future debt or equity offering by Global Water or its affiliates. As of June 30, 2026, the company had $5.8 million drawn under the facility. The amended facility matures on August 30, 2028.
The company said it plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including working capital and capital expenditures related to water, wastewater, and recycled water infrastructure in its Arizona service areas.
"These financings strengthen Global Water's financial position and provide additional capacity to fund prudent investments across our utilities," said Mike Liebman, CFO and EVP of Global Water Resources.
Global Water owns and operates 39 utility systems serving areas primarily around metropolitan Phoenix and Tucson.
