Nano One names former Tesla executive as corporate development director
Nano One Materials Corp. (TSX: NANO, OTCQB: NNOMF, Frankfurt: LBMB) has appointed Aleem Ladak as Director of Corporate Development, effective August 5, 2026, according to a press release from the Vancouver-based company.
Ladak brings more than 15 years of experience in mining engineering, corporate development, and battery materials strategy. He previously led Tesla's battery materials corporate development and strategy team, as well as its critical minerals policy team. He also held a senior role at PowerCo Canada, a subsidiary of PowerCo SE, part of the Volkswagen Group, where he built the battery materials supplier industrialization team.
Earlier in his career, Ladak worked in mining engineering, equity research, and strategy consulting. He was involved in the due diligence supporting Largo Resources' acquisition of VionX Energy Corp.
"His experience building battery materials strategy and supplier industrialization programs for two of the world's most demanding cell manufacturers gives him a first-hand understanding of what qualified, regionally resilient cathode supply requires," said Carlo Valente, CFO of Nano One Materials.
Nano One specializes in process technology for lithium-ion battery cathode active materials, with operations in Burnaby, British Columbia and Candiac, Québec.
