Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) has been awarded contracts valued at approximately $40 million from Leidos to support production of the U.S. Army's Indirect Fire Protection Capability Increment 2 (IFPC Inc 2) system, according to a company statement.

Under the agreement, Curtiss-Wright will supply electromechanical actuation technology and rugged, small form factor mission computers for mobile ground-based air defense systems. The work will be performed across the company's Aerospace & Industrial and Defense Electronics segments.

The IFPC Inc 2 system is designed to acquire, track, engage, and defeat cruise missiles, rockets, and unmanned aircraft systems. The program is expected to support Indo-Pacific operations, including the Defense of Guam.

Curtiss-Wright's electromechanical actuators use commercial roller screw and motor technologies modified to meet U.S. Army environmental and performance requirements. The company will also provide its DuraCOR 8044 mission computer, which incorporates an 11th generation Intel Xeon W processor and is designed for size, weight, and power-sensitive applications.
