UL Solutions Inc. (NYSE: ULS) announced the expansion of its site in Lombardy, Italy, to establish a European Retail Center of Excellence, offering retailers, brands and manufacturers a broader range of testing, regulatory, advisory and sustainability services.

According to a company press release, the center builds on 40 years of technical operations in the Lombardy region and now includes pre-market services covering product development, supplier selection and raw materials sourcing. Product categories served include furniture, apparel and cosmetics.

The facility includes spaces for workshops, training and customer collaboration, and is connected to UL Solutions' global network of laboratories and technical hubs to help customers address regional and international regulatory requirements.

Josh Warren, Vice President and General Manager of Retail and Consumer Products at UL Solutions, said: "By expanding our capabilities in Italy to create the European Retail Center of Excellence, we are strengthening how we partner with customers earlier in the product life cycle, to help them bring products to market with confidence."

The Italian site joins a network of UL Solutions retail and consumer products facilities that includes locations in Shanghai, Ningbo and Shenzhen, China; Gurgaon, India; Istanbul, Turkey; Canton, Massachusetts; and a Retail Center of Excellence in Lowell, Arkansas, a 100,000-square-foot facility opened in 2024.
