Murphy Oil Corporation (NYSE: MUR) has appointed Michol L. Ecklund as Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, effective August 31, 2026.

In the role, Ecklund will oversee legal, compliance, governance, government affairs, land, sustainability and risk management functions, and will serve on Murphy's Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to President and Chief Executive Officer Eric M. Hambly.

Ecklund brings more than 25 years of legal and leadership experience in the energy industry. Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Anew Climate, a position she held after joining the company in 2024.

Prior to Anew Climate, Ecklund spent seven years at Callon Petroleum Company, where she held the titles of Senior Vice President, Chief Sustainability Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Before that, she held positions of increasing responsibility over a 15-year tenure at Marathon Oil Corporation, concluding as Deputy General Counsel. She began her legal career at Baker Botts L.L.P. in Houston.

Ecklund holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rice University, where she currently serves on the Board of Trustees, and a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School.
