Protolabs names Sam Ramahi as chief operations officer

Protolabs (NYSE: PRLB) has appointed Sam Ramahi as Chief Operations Officer, effective August 31, 2026, according to a company statement.

Ramahi will oversee global operations, supply chain, quality, sourcing, and continuous improvement initiatives, reporting to President and CEO Suresh Krishna.

Ramahi brings more than 25 years of operational leadership experience in global industrial and manufacturing organizations. He most recently served as Vice President of North America Operations at SIG Group, where he led a 1,300-person organization across five manufacturing facilities supporting $700 million in annual revenue.

Prior to SIG Group, Ramahi served as Chief Operating Officer of Jacuzzi Group and has held leadership roles at nVent, Eaton, Cooper Industries, Honeywell, and GE Healthcare. His experience spans North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia.

"Sam is a proven global operations leader with a remarkable track record of driving operational excellence, leading large-scale transformations, and building high-performing teams," Krishna said.

Ramahi said he looks forward to strengthening Protolabs' operational capabilities as the company supports customers moving from prototype to production.
