August 24, 2026 8:33 AM

Laser Photonics Corporation (NASDAQ: LASE) announced that its subsidiary, CMS Laser, has received a purchase order valued at approximately $1.05 million from an unnamed U.S.-based pharmaceutical company for a TD-70 high-speed pharmaceutical tablet drilling system.

The order covers a complete production line, including tablet handling tooling, conveyor transport, and a full IQ, OQ, and PQ validation package with on-site installation. The TD-70 system is capable of processing up to 70,000 tablets per hour and features a dual-camera vision system that inspects each tablet twice, automatically rejecting units outside specification.

The system drills precision orifices used to regulate drug delivery in controlled-release medications. CMS Laser will build the system at its manufacturing facility in Winter Park, Florida.

The order represents a first-time purchase by this customer. According to the company's press release, the order follows Laser Photonics' expansion into precision medical device manufacturing announced in May 2026.

"This order reflects the strength of CMS Laser's position in pharmaceutical manufacturing and our ability to win new customers on the basis of engineering capability and process quality," said Ann Tewari, Interim President of Laser Photonics.

Laser Photonics also stated its intention to expand investment in CMS Laser's engineering, product development, and production capabilities to support demand across pharmaceutical, medical device, and other regulated end markets.
