QSE partners with Pos Digicert on post-quantum cryptography in Malaysia

Quantum Secure Encryption Corp. (CSE: QSE) (OTCQB: QSEGF) (FSE: VN80) has announced a strategic partnership with Pos Digicert Sdn. Bhd. to help Malaysian organizations prepare for the transition to post-quantum cryptography (PQC), according to a company statement.

The partnership combines QSE's quantum-readiness technology suite — which includes products called QPrime, QScope, QSim and QGuard — with Pos Digicert's experience in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), digital certificates and digital identity services in Malaysia.

Under the arrangement, the two companies plan to offer Malaysian government agencies, enterprises and regulated organizations tools to assess their cryptographic environments and develop structured post-quantum readiness plans. The collaboration is also intended to address data sovereignty and regulatory considerations relevant to government and regulated industries.

Ted Carefoot, Chief Executive Officer of QSE, said the partnership brings together complementary capabilities. "QSE contributes our quantum-readiness technology to help organizations measure and improve their PQC and cryptographic readiness, while Pos Digicert brings deep Malaysian market knowledge, digital trust capabilities, professional expertise and the local infrastructure needed to deliver those capabilities effectively."

Amir Suhaimi Hassan, Chief Operating Officer of Pos Digicert, said the transition involves more than swapping cryptographic algorithms. "It requires organizations to understand where cryptography exists today, what information and systems may be exposed, and how that transition can be managed systematically without compromising trust or operational continuity."

Pos Digicert is wholly owned by Pos Malaysia Berhad and is described as Malaysia's first licensed Certification Authority. QSE is a Canadian company headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The two companies also plan to develop market-specific offerings, conduct customer engagements and contribute to awareness around post-quantum readiness in Malaysia.
