Pegasystems launches AI governance tools and partners with Gryphon

August 18, 2026 9:00 AM

Pegasystems Inc. (NASDAQ: PEGA) has announced new AI governance features for its customer engagement platform and a partnership with compliance technology firm Gryphon, according to a company press release.

The new capabilities are part of Pega Customer Engagement Studio, now generally available within Pega Customer Decision Hub. The tools allow users to design marketing campaigns using natural language, with built-in validation, approval workflows, and audit history. The features are included at no additional cost to existing Pega Customer Decision Hub clients as part of the Pega Infinity 26 release.

Specific additions include an eligibility criteria builder that validates targeting rules, compliance monitoring that detects changes such as customer opt-outs in connected systems, and an AI assistant that guides policy configuration while reusing previously approved logic.

The partnership with Gryphon is intended to combine Pega's AI decisioning capabilities with Gryphon's contact governance platform, which helps enterprises meet regulatory requirements including TCPA, TRS, DNC, and FDCPA across industries such as financial services, insurance, and healthcare.

The two companies say joint clients will gain access to Gryphon's audience recovery tools, which identify legally valid exemptions where Pega's platform may over-suppress outreach, and a revenue calculator that quantifies the financial impact of over-suppression and legal exposure.

"Enterprises can't afford to treat AI governance as an afterthought," said Rob Walker, general manager of 1:1 customer engagement at Pega. "This expansion of our responsible AI capabilities gives our clients the ability to move faster with AI while helping ensure every decision is transparent, compliant, and accountable."

Clay McNaught, CEO of Gryphon, said the partnership provides "a clear, trusted path from AI decision to compliant contact" for joint customers.

An EY survey cited in the release found that only one-third of companies have responsible controls for current AI models, despite nearly three-quarters having AI integrated across their organizations.
