Airgain wins two IoT modem deals for AI data center power systems

August 18, 2026 8:54 AM

Airgain, Inc. (NASDAQ: AIRG) announced two design wins for its NimbeLink embedded cellular modems in data center power monitoring and management applications, according to a company press release.

One design win, previously disclosed during Airgain's Q2 2026 earnings call, is with an electrical intelligence provider serving AI-scale data center infrastructure. That customer selected Airgain's NimbeLink Cat 1 bis embedded modem for an energy monitoring platform that uses sensing and analytics to track power consumption and equipment health.

The second design win is with an intelligent power management provider that has more than 20 years of industry experience and over 250,000 power distribution units deployed. That customer integrated Airgain's NimbeLink Cat M1 embedded modem into its smart Power Distribution Unit platform, which provides rack-level power distribution, monitoring and remote control for servers and networking equipment.

Cellular connectivity in both applications provides an independent path for remote monitoring and out-of-band management when a facility's primary wired or Wi-Fi network is unavailable.

"AI data centers require much more than servers and GPUs to operate at scale and maintain uptime," said Jacob Suen, President and CEO of Airgain. "They also depend on reliable power, cooling and monitoring systems to keep that compute capacity running."

Airgain is headquartered in San Diego, California.
