Jaguar Uranium reports copper assays up to 8.54% at Argentina project

August 18, 2026 6:50 AM

Jaguar Uranium Corp. (NYSE American: JAGU) has released final copper assay results from an initial rock sampling program at its Huemul Uranium-Copper-Vanadium Project in Malargüe, Mendoza Province, Argentina, according to a company press release.

Samples collected from eight target areas across the more than 27,000-hectare project returned copper grades of up to 8.54%, uranium up to 2.27%, silver up to 708 grams per tonne, and vanadium up to 1.27%. The company noted that because sampling was selective and targeted areas of visible mineralization, results may be biased high and should not be considered representative of grade distribution or continuity across the project.

Sampling of strike extensions along the Uryco/Rosa and Black Zone trends identified a potential 4-kilometer corridor of copper mineralization exposed at surface. The Uryco-Rosa, Black Zone, and Vega Larga target areas have apparent strike lengths of approximately 2,200 meters, 1,300 meters, and 2,300 meters, respectively. One uranium sample result exceeding 25,000 ppm remains pending over-limit reanalysis.

The Huemul Project is anchored by what historical records describe as Argentina's first producing uranium mine, which operated from 1955 to 1975. Historical records, which the company states it has not independently verified, report that approximately 130,000 tonnes of mineralized material were processed at average head grades of 0.21% uranium, 2.0% copper, and 0.11% vanadium.

Samples were analyzed by ALS Mendoza, an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory independent of Jaguar. The company submitted 200 samples including quality control blanks and duplicates. Two duplicate samples were re-analyzed and confirmed original assay values.

Jaguar stated it is planning a maiden drill campaign at the project. The Huemul Project remains an exploration-stage property with no mineral resource or mineral reserve estimate prepared under NI 43-101 or Subpart 1300 of Regulation S-K.

Jaguar completed a $25 million initial public offering on NYSE American in February 2026.
