Ionic Digital Inc. (Nasdaq: IOND) said it supports Governor Greg Abbott's focus on grid reliability and has committed to participating in a verification and audit process being conducted by the Public Utility Commission of Texas and the Electric Reliability Council of Texas.

The Austin-based data center company, which operates a campus in Ward County in West Texas, said it would engage with state regulators, electric utilities and local communities as part of the review. The audit is examining data center development practices across the state.

"We are committed to thoughtful planning, responsible use of power and water resources and working collaboratively with state leaders, regulators, utilities and local communities to support grid reliability, protect Texas ratepayers and ensure our development benefits the communities in which we operate," said Andy Stewart, Ionic Digital's Chief Executive Officer.

The company said its Ward County campus has brought capital investment and long-term operations to West Texas and that it intends to continue investing in the state.
