Canaan Inc. (NASDAQ: CAN) mined 46 bitcoin in July 2026, according to an unaudited monthly operations update released by the Singapore-based company. At month-end, Canaan held 1,917 BTC and 3,952 ETH on its balance sheet.

The company's global operating computing power reached 14.24 EH/s, with installed hashrate at 14.89 EH/s across 12 active mining projects. Its North American non-joint venture fleet reported an average miner efficiency of 17.9 J/TH. The joint venture operations, which include a 49% stake in the Alborz, Bear, and Chief Mountain facilities in West Texas, reported an operating hashrate of 4.20 EH/s and an installed hashrate of 4.85 EH/s at month-end. The company noted those facilities had previously experienced wildfire-related disruptions. Average all-in power cost during the month was $0.043 per kWh.

Canaan has paused mining operations in Ethiopia, though that hashrate remains part of its installed hashrate figure of 4.96 EH/s for the region.

On Aug. 4, 2026, the company authorized management to monetize a portion of its digital asset treasury to fund repurchases of its American Depositary Shares under a share repurchase program originally authorized Dec. 12, 2025.

On July 1, 2026, Canaan completed the transfer of its ADS listing from the Nasdaq Global Market to the Nasdaq Capital Market. The company subsequently received a 180-day extension, until Jan. 11, 2027, to regain compliance with Nasdaq's minimum bid price requirement under Listing Rule 5550(a)(2), which requires a closing bid price of at least $1.00 per ADS for a minimum of ten consecutive business days. The extension was granted July 15, 2026, and has no immediate effect on the trading of Canaan's ADSs under the ticker symbol "CAN."
