Starling Oncology launches Nexus oncology technology platform
Starling Oncology Inc. (NASDAQ: STLN) announced the launch of Starling Nexus, a proprietary technology platform designed to consolidate clinical decision support and prior authorization workflows for oncology providers.
According to a company statement, the platform addresses fragmented prior authorization processes and compliance with National Comprehensive Cancer Network guidelines, which the company describes as persistent challenges in cancer care delivery.
Starling Nexus combines real-time clinical decision support, evidence-based treatment pathways, and digital authorization submissions into a single oncology-specific workflow. The platform is also designed to integrate ancillary services such as pharmacy and clinical trials over time.
"Utilization management should support rapid access to high-quality cancer care for patients and not add complexity to an already stressful treatment journey," said Jeffrey Langsam, DO, Chief Clinical Officer of Starling Oncology. "By bringing evidence-based clinical guidance and authorization into one workflow, we can reduce administrative friction and create a more connected approach to oncology care."
Starling Oncology, formerly known as The Oncology Institute, operates more than 100 clinic and network locations across five states, with more than 400 employed and network clinicians serving approximately 2.1 million patients. The company was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Cerritos, Calif.
