Serve Robotics Inc. (Nasdaq: SERV) announced a partnership with Grubhub, a subsidiary of Wonder, to bring autonomous sidewalk robot delivery to the Grubhub marketplace, according to a company press release. The service is launching in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Alexandria, with more than 100 participating merchants in Chicago and nearly 200 in Los Angeles.

Serve also announced it has launched operations in Washington, DC and San Jose, California — its seventh and eighth U.S. markets — both in partnership with DoorDash. The two metros together reach a population of approximately 8 million people. In Washington, DC, robots will operate in the Dupont Circle area and parts of downtown. San Jose marks Serve's first Bay Area market, where robots have completed their first month of deliveries.

The company is also launching its first micro-depot in Miami, a small-footprint operating site designed to handle robot staging, charging, dispatch, and maintenance without the infrastructure requirements of a full-scale facility.

Diligent Robotics, a Serve Robotics subsidiary, has begun rolling out Moxi 2.0, an updated hospital robot, to health systems including Endeavor Health Edward Hospital, Providence Saint John's Health Center, and Children's Hospital Los Angeles. The new version offers up to 15 times faster perception processing, 10 times more onboard compute, and an 18-hour operating battery life with 30% faster charging. Moxi 2.0 is built on data from deployments across more than 25 U.S. hospitals.

Serve previewed Beacon, a countertop device intended to connect restaurants with its delivery robots using only a power source, requiring no additional hardware or system changes.

The company's advertising unit, Serve Advertising, introduced a product called Characters, which allows brands to create interactive, AI-powered personas displayed on Serve robots. The first Character, called Chomp, was developed with Grubhub and features a hamburger-wrapped robot with real-time conversational capability.
