August 14, 2026 7:01 AM

AerCap Holdings N.V. (NYSE: AER) has delivered its 100th Boeing 787 aircraft from its direct orderbook with Boeing, with the aircraft going on lease to Grupo Aeroméxico, S.A.B. de C.V. The delivery also marks the 10th Boeing 787 AerCap has leased to Aeroméxico and the airline's 25th Dreamliner overall.

The aircraft delivered is a Boeing 787-9. AerCap, headquartered in Dublin, states it holds approximately 140 Boeing 787 aircraft owned and on order, which it claims makes it the largest owner of the type and the largest 787 lessor by orderbook.

"We are delighted to deliver this Boeing 787-9 to Aeroméxico, a valued long-standing customer of AerCap," said Peter Anderson, Chief Commercial Officer of AerCap.

Max Alvarez, SVP Fleet and Business Development at Aeroméxico, said the milestone "reflects our continued commitment to strengthening our position as a modern, efficient and world-class airline."

Patrick McKelvey, vice president of Global Leasing Commercial Sales and Marketing at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, noted that Boeing has now delivered more 787 Dreamliners to AerCap than to any other customer, adding that AerCap was the first lessor to take delivery of the 787 in 2013.

Aeroméxico's current fleet includes Boeing 787 and 737 aircraft, as well as Embraer 190 jets. The airline operates primarily from Terminal 2 of the Mexico City International Airport and is a founding member of the SkyTeam alliance.
