Alpha Cognition reports Q2 2026 revenue of $6M as net loss narrows

Alpha Cognition Inc. (NASDAQ: ACOG) reported second-quarter 2026 net product revenue of approximately $6.0 million for its Alzheimer's drug Zunveyl, up 71% from $3.5 million in the first quarter of 2026, according to a company press release.



Bottles dispensed rose 37% quarter-over-quarter to 8,294, with monthly demand reaching 2,997 in June. The number of active prescribers grew 26% sequentially to 1,347, while repeat prescribers increased 29% to 1,024. A total of 1,095 long-term care facilities generated prescriptions during the quarter.



The company posted a net loss of approximately $8.8 million, or $(0.40) per share, for the second quarter, compared with a net loss of $13.2 million, or $(0.82) per share, in the same period a year earlier. Total operating expenses were approximately $13.5 million, including $11.5 million in selling, general and administrative expenses and $2.0 million in research and development costs. Gross margin was 94%.



Cash and cash equivalents totaled $41.4 million as of June 30, 2026, down from $66.0 million at December 31, 2025. The company lowered its full-year 2026 combined R&D and SG&A expense guidance to $50–$54 million and said it targets operating profitability in 2027.



On the clinical side, the company reported positive topline results from its BEACON real-world effectiveness study in long-term care residents with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. It also initiated the CONVERGE retrospective data analysis in April 2026, with topline data expected in the third quarter of 2026, and began enrolling patients in RESOLVE, a Phase 4 interventional trial. Alpha Cognition also said it is advancing a sublingual formulation of Zunveyl toward the clinic in 2027.
