Rekor adds audio verification to its GoSecure product

August 12, 2026 7:31 AM

Rekor Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: REKR) announced that its GoSecure™ product now includes audio verification capability, extending the platform's existing cryptographic authentication from video to recorded audio.

The patent-pending feature embeds authentication proof directly into audio recordings at the moment of capture, allowing authenticity to be confirmed without requiring a chain of custody or third-party custodian, according to a company statement.

Robert A. Berman, Rekor Chair and CEO, said the company is in "active, advanced discussions with prospective launch partners" and expects to finalize initial commercial terms during the third quarter of 2026. He described interest as coming from "serious corporate players" evaluating GoSecure for both video and audio authentication needs.

Chris Kadoch, Chief Technology Officer at Rekor, said the technology embeds proof in the recording itself. "GoSecure™ embeds the proof in the clip itself, so it verifies on its own from the moment of capture," Kadoch said.

Rekor states the product is aimed at organizations including law enforcement agencies, courts, financial institutions, government agencies, and public transit operators that require verifiable recordings for evidentiary or compliance purposes.

The audio verification feature is available across the GoSecure platform. Rekor is based in Columbia, Md.
