OSI Systems wins $10M order for electronic sub-assemblies

OSI Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: OSIS) announced that its Optoelectronics and Manufacturing division has received orders totaling more than $10 million from an unnamed IT provider for electronic sub-assemblies used in remote networking hardware.

The Hawthorne, California-based company said the components will be incorporated into remote networking hardware, according to a press release statement.

Chief Executive Officer Ajay Mehra said, "Demand for resilient, remotely managed network infrastructure continues to accelerate as customers build out distributed IT environments. Opto is well positioned to support that growth, and this award reflects the expanding opportunity we see across our electronics manufacturing business."

OSI Systems operates through three segments: Security, Optoelectronics and Manufacturing, and Healthcare. The Optoelectronics and Manufacturing segment supplies optoelectronic components and precision manufacturing services to original equipment manufacturers.
