Bruker Corporation (Nasdaq: BRKR) has announced a strategic collaboration with Atinary Technologies Inc. and made a minority investment in the company. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The agreement calls for Atinary to integrate Bruker's Chemspeed laboratory automation platforms, Bruker analytical instruments, and SciY scientific software into its AI-driven workflows. Atinary's SDLabs platform uses AI agents and machine learning to design experiments and automate closed-loop research processes.

Atinary and Chemspeed have established a joint demonstration laboratory at Chemspeed's headquarters near Basel, Switzerland. Atinary also opened a Self-Driving Lab in Boston in early 2026, which includes Chemspeed robotics and Bruker benchtop NMR instruments, with a focus on small-molecule synthesis and catalysis in pharmaceutical research and process development.

Professor Stephen Buchwald of MIT, a scientific advisor to Atinary, noted that large parameter spaces in cross-coupling chemistry, such as C-N coupling, remain difficult to navigate using traditional methods and said that reproducible, lab-validated datasets could lead to advances in the field.

Bernd Gleixner, President of Bruker's Chemspeed Division, said the investment is intended to combine analytical technologies with lab automation, scientific software, and AI-guided experimentation, with plans to extend the collaboration to additional analytical solutions and customer applications.

Atinary Technologies, headquartered in Menlo Park, California, was founded in 2017 and operates facilities in Boston and Lausanne. Its ecosystem partners include ABB Robotics, Agilent, AWS, and Mettler-Toledo.
