EagleNXT (NYSE: UAVS), based in Allen, Texas, announced the reintroduction of the MicaSense RedEdge-MX multispectral sensor, citing customer demand from precision agriculture, environmental monitoring, and research markets.

The updated sensor includes a metallic enclosure, modern technology interfacing, and an updated DLS 2 light sensor for calibrated reflectance measurements. The device supports multispectral bands used in vegetation indices including NDVI and NDRE, and is compatible with a range of drone platforms.

Production of the RedEdge-MX will take place at EagleNXT's Allen, Texas facility on a newly installed, dedicated assembly and test cell, according to the company's statement.
