BeMetals Corp. (TSXV: BMET) (OTCQB: BMTLF) announced it has received approval from the TSX Venture Exchange to change its name to Lightning Resource Corp., with the change expected to take effect at the start of trading on July 31, 2026.

The company will trade under the new symbol "LTNG" on the TSX Venture Exchange, along with new CUSIP/ISIN numbers 531965101/CA5319651017. Existing shareholders are not required to take any action, and current share certificates will continue to represent common shares under the new name.

A previously announced acquisition of all non-Yukon mineral exploration projects from Prospector Metals Corp. in exchange for 29,400,000 common shares, through the acquisition of Prospector's wholly-owned subsidiary Lightning Exploration Corp., remains pending.

The company also announced the adoption of a new Omnibus Incentive Plan following shareholder approval at an annual general and special meeting held on July 3, 2026. The plan is structured as a "rolling up to 10%" plan under TSXV Policy 4.4, allowing the company to grant stock options, restricted share units, and deferred share units to directors, officers, employees, and consultants.
