Lantronix Inc. (NASDAQ: LTRX) announced a collaboration with DoD Solution, an Estonian-Ukrainian developer of onboard autonomy systems for drones, to deploy edge AI computing hardware in Ukraine, according to a company press release.

The partnership combines DoD Solution's AURA AI onboard autonomy platform with Lantronix's Qualcomm-based Open-Q 6490CS Solution. Lantronix is supplying size, weight, and power-optimized edge compute hardware for integration into the AURA AI platform, which is intended to support FPV drones, fixed-wing UAVs, and interceptor systems used in Ukraine.

Engineering teams have completed platform integration, and initial production is underway, the company said. The program is described as ramping to meet demand across the region.

"Our collaboration with DoD Solution demonstrates the growing demand for high-performance, low-power AI platforms that meet stringent U.S. compliance standards while enabling rapid deployment at scale," said Kurt Hoff, Chief Revenue Officer of Lantronix. He added that advanced engineering services engagements provide a recurring revenue stream through development, integration, testing, and ongoing program execution.

Roman Hapachylo, CEO of DoD Solution, said the AURA AI platform enables perception, visual navigation, target recognition, tracking, and terminal guidance directly on the aircraft. "By combining our autonomy solution with Lantronix's production-ready edge compute, we can significantly accelerate deployment timelines," he said.

DoD Solution is described as an Estonian-Ukrainian defense technology company whose AURA AI platform operates in GPS-denied, contested, and communication-constrained environments.

Lantronix, headquartered in Irvine, California, provides Edge AI and Industrial IoT solutions and holds listings on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker LTRX.
