01 Quantum partners with Crypto4A on quantum-safe security push
01 Quantum Inc. (TSXV: ONE) (OTCQB: OONEF) announced a strategic partnership with Crypto4A Technologies Inc., effective July 13, 2026, to collaborate on joint marketing, customer introductions, and industry engagement focused on post-quantum cryptography (PQC) adoption.
Under the agreement, the two Canadian companies will combine 01 Quantum's quantum-resilient software technologies with Crypto4A's quantum-safe Hardware Security Modules (QxHSM) and QxVault secrets management platform. Joint efforts will include webinars, events, white papers, and case studies aimed at helping organizations modernize their cryptographic infrastructure.
Crypto4A recently reached general availability for its QxVault product and was recognized in two 2026 Gartner Hype Cycles within the Post-Quantum Cryptography category.
The partnership follows a June 22, 2026, U.S. Executive Order directing federal agencies to adopt quantum-resistant cryptographic systems. The order sets deadlines requiring migration of high-value federal systems to PQC standards for key establishment by 2030 and digital signatures by 2031.
Andrew Cheung, CEO of 01 Quantum, cited the executive order as a catalyst: "The recent U.S. Executive Order has accelerated the timeline for quantum-safe migration, intersecting with a broader cybersecurity modernization wave that Gartner projects will surpass $200 billion this decade."
Bruno Couillard, CEO and Co-Founder of Crypto4A, said the partnership addresses the need for coordinated technology ecosystems: "Preparing for the quantum era isn't something organizations can tackle in isolation. Success requires an ecosystem of complementary technologies and trusted partners."
According to Emergen Research, the global PQC market was valued at $310 million in 2024 and is projected to reach $2.89 billion by 2034, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of 25.1%.
01 Quantum, formerly 01 Communique Laboratory Inc., is based in Toronto and develops PQC technologies including its IronCAP platform. Crypto4A is headquartered in Ottawa and serves government agencies, financial institutions, and enterprises.
