enCore Energy Corp. (NASDAQ: EU, TSXV: EU) announced that the Bureau of Land Management has issued a final decision authorizing the company's wholly owned subsidiary, Powertech Inc., to begin infrastructure construction at the Dewey Burdock Uranium In-Situ Recovery project in southwest South Dakota.

The BLM approval follows the completion of an Environmental Assessment and a Finding of No Significant Impact. The agency published a draft EA on April 14, 2026, accepted public comments for 30 days, and addressed feedback related to groundwater, cultural resources, tribal concerns, environmental justice, and federal law compliance before issuing its final decision.

The authorization covers construction on approximately 240 acres of BLM-managed public land within the larger 10,580-acre project area. Approved work includes portions of primary and secondary access roads, light-use roads, four groundwater monitoring wells, and overhead power lines.

William M. Sheriff, enCore's Executive Chair, said the BLM approval marks a milestone for the project and credited coordination through the Fast-41 federal permitting program. The Dewey Burdock project was added to the Fast-41 program on August 28, 2025, under an executive order focused on increasing domestic mineral production.

The project, located in Custer and Fall River counties, uses in-situ recovery technology, which dissolves uranium in place using an oxygen and water-based solution and pumps it to a central processing plant. The project received a Source and Byproduct Materials License from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in 2014, which is currently under renewal.

According to the company's mineral resource estimate, effective October 8, 2024, the project holds measured and indicated resources of approximately 17.1 million pounds of U3O8, with an additional 712,624 pounds in the inferred category.
