Viacom (VIAB) Dips Amid Upgrade, New 52-Week High

January 11, 2013 12:25 PM EST
Viacom (Nasdaq: VIAB) has trickled lower on the session Friday, down about 0.7 percent as of noon EST. Not everyone is convinced the move is warranted, however.

Janney Montgomery Scott upgraded Viacom to Buy today, adding over $11 on its price target to $65.

Market data has the uptick-to-downtick money flow ratio at about 5.5 tomes, for net positive inflow of about $37.4 million.

The overall 14-day Money Flow Index isn't too telling today at about 64, closer to being overbought than oversold. The last time shares were hinted as oversold was early into November, when Viacom hit a near-term low.

Viacom did hit a new 52-week high at $58.92 earlier on the session, which might indicate profit-taking by some.
