HomeTrust Bancshares, Inc. (NYSE: HTB) has completed its previous 5% stock repurchase program and authorized a new buyback of up to 790,000 shares, according to a press release from the Asheville, North Carolina-based company.
The completed program, which began in August 2026, resulted in the repurchase of 832,000 shares at an average price of $47.70 per share. The newly authorized program represents approximately 5% of the company's currently outstanding shares.
The company's Board of Directors approved the new repurchase plan, under which shares may be bought in the open market or through privately negotiated transactions, subject to market conditions and other factors.
HomeTrust Bancshares is the holding company for HomeTrust Bank, a state-chartered community bank with more than 30 locations across North Carolina, South Carolina, East Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, and Georgia. The company reported total assets of $4.4 billion as of June 30, 2026.
