Autohome launches $400 million share repurchase program

Autohome Inc. (NYSE: ATHM; HKEX: 2518) announced that its board of directors has approved a new share repurchase program allowing the company to buy back up to $400 million of its American depositary shares over the next 12 months, effective July 28, 2026.



The company said repurchases may be conducted through open market transactions at prevailing market prices, privately negotiated transactions, block trades, or other legally permissible means, subject to market conditions and applicable regulations. Autohome plans to fund the buybacks using its existing cash balance.



Craig Zeng, Chief Financial Officer of Autohome, said: "The Company remains firmly committed to its shareholder return promise. Over the past few months, we have actively repurchased ADSs in the open market to maximize shareholders' returns, and today we are pleased to launch a new round of share repurchases, making another step forward in our longer-term investor return strategy."



The board will review the program periodically and may adjust its terms, size, or suspend or discontinue it. Autohome is an online platform for automobile consumers in China, according to the press release.
