The Sub-Adviser The Putnam Advisory Company, LLC in the "APPENDIX: INVESTMENT OPTIONS AVAILABLE UNDER THE CONTRACT" section of the Prospectus is hereby deleted and replaced with Templeton Asset Management Ltd. for the following funds:
