Apple (AAPL) iPhone 5 Coming in June?

April 5, 2011 12:44 PM UTC
Conflicting reports have been emerging about Apple Inc.'s (NASDAQ: AAPL) plans for the next generation of its iconic smartphone, with some speculating that the company will break away from its traditional one-year refresh cycle.

On Tuesday however, a reported from the Korean Site ETNews.co.kr stated that Apple is planning to launch the iPhone 5 during the fourth week of June.

ETN is claiming that the June launch will coincide with the availability of the device on Korean providers SK Telecom and KT.

It is also anticipated that Apple will not announce the iPhone 5 at its annual WWDC, but rather a special media event hosted by CEO Steve Jobs himself.
