"It's imperative that you feel comfortable with your Realtor so you receive reliable answers to your important questions," stressed Potts. "Find one that has a proven track record and comes highly recommended."

No. 4: Get a second opinion. Once you have found your dream home, solicit a second opinion. "Show the house to a trusted friend or family member as they might notice something about the house that you did not," concluded Potts.
