MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C., Feb. 28, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tabula Rasa HealthCare (“TRHC”) (NASDAQ: TRHC) announced today that its code school, JRS Coding School, in Mount Pleasant, SC, is now accepting applications for its new scholarship for military veterans. The scholarship, to be awarded on a competitive basis, covers full tuition for the 12-week software development course.

“The men and women who serve in our military do so at tremendous risk and at great personal sacrifice,” said Calvin H. Knowlton, PhD, chairman, CEO and founder of TRHC. “When they are ready to transition to a new, civilian career, we want to help them. This scholarship is our way of thanking them for their service.”

JRS Coding School offers a full-time, immersive program in JavaScript. In addition to learning the programming language, students are introduced to agile workflow, team communication skills, and software lifecycle training. At the conclusion of the program, graduates are proficient at a junior developer level, able to build full-stack web applications.

“There is a great demand for coding skills in the job market, and we know the ‘boot camp’ model is a quick, effective way to learn these skills,” said Tom Wilson, executive vice president and chief technology innovations officer for TRHC and head instructor at JRS Coding School. “However, tuition can be a huge obstacle. We hope that by removing this financial barrier, we can give some motivated veterans the training and skills they need for a new career.”

The school also recently introduced new financing options for students.

JRS Coding School offers three sessions throughout the year. The next class begins May 18. Applications to the school and for the veteran’s scholarship are available by contacting the school at [email protected] or (843) 972-4502 or by visiting JRScode.com.
