MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Registration remains open for Wolters Kluwer Audit, Risk & Compliance’s 16th annual TeamMate User Forum, held Sept. 27-30 at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort in San Antonio, Texas. In addition to the usual product-focused sessions, the User Forum is expanding its offerings to include analysis of industry hot topics and professional development opportunities.
On Monday, Sept. 28, participants can attend an Audit Leadership Track, which is a series of sessions primarily focusing on the challenges, industry trends and best practices that impact audit directors and others in leadership positions. Richard Anderson, clinical professor at DePaul University’s Center for Strategy, Execution and Valuation and retired PwC partner, will facilitate the Audit Leadership Track sessions, and Bonnie Ulmer, vice president of the IIA Research Foundation, will co-present.
More specifically, topics covered during the Audit Leadership Track include:
- Assessment of the risks and operational issues related to new technological developments;
- Best practices to enhance audit committee materials and reporting;
- Examination of the recent projects and releases from the IIA Research Foundation, including the status and deliverables from the IIA’s 2015 Global Internal Audit Study;
- A review of the Ten Imperatives for Internal Audit, based on the CBOK (Common Body of Knowledge) 2015 Global Internal Audit Practitioner Survey; and
- Discussion of imperatives and other forward-looking internal audit practices.
In addition, AuditNet® President Jim Kaplan will address the current state of leveraging technology for keyword analytics. Kaplan has been at the forefront of leveraging technology for auditors for more than 20 years. In this presentation, Kaplan will share the results of a 2014 survey on keyword analytics for auditors and demonstrate free tools that auditors can use to conduct their own keyword searches. Attendees to this session will receive the tools, the list of keywords from the survey, the Webinar recording and access to the AuditSoftwareVideos.com inventory of videos and recordings from the AuditNet® Training without Travel webinar series.
High Water Advisors will also present at the User Forum, providing attendees with best practices for building a sustainable data analytics function, and teaching various techniques for auditors to acquire and organize data efficiently for repeatable audits.
“The goal of this year’s User Forum is to help auditors move beyond their day-to-day operations and explore ways to become more effective in their overall work and professional lives,” said Mike Gowell, senior vice president, TeamMate. “From our expert speakers to the connections made at the conference, attendees will leave with resources they can draw from to help enhance and support their professional development.”
