Securities America Earns BISA Award for Technology Innovation

Award is second for broker-dealer in three years

LA VISTA, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Bank Insurance and Securities Association (BISA) awarded Securities America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc., (NYSE MKT: LTS) its 2016 Technology Innovation Award.

Presented annually, the award honors a financial services company for technology innovation that helps advance industry products, services and platforms. This year, BISA selected Securities America for its development and implementation of New Business Solutions, Securities America’s next generation, paperless system for processing business and opening new accounts.

New Business Solutions guides users through the account setup and pre-approval processes using previously stored data to reduce keystrokes, identify missing information and prefill forms. The Set Up Account button automatically transmits data to Securities America, National Financial or Pershing to establish the accounts, allowing remote check deposit functionality to be used.

Direct sponsor transactions are ready for principal pre-approval after the advisor answers a few simple questions. The status of all submitted business through approval is transparent to advisors, home office processors and compliance approvers. Users can also make changes to the address, suitability and other information on one or multiple accounts in just a few simple steps.
