R.W. Pressprich & Co. Expands Energy Team

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- R.W. Pressprich & Co., a New York-based institutional broker dealer, announced today the addition of two senior professionals to its team.

Charles Howard joins R.W. Pressprich as Managing Director and a Co-Head of High Yield /Distress trading and as energy trader. He has more than 20 years of buy-side and sell-side credit experience and is a proven business leader with experience in research, sales and trading, including both public and private securities. He has held senior level positions and managed fixed income/high yield and distressed trading desks at firms including RBC Capital Markets, Pali Capital and Global Hunter Securities. He earned a B.S. degree at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte and an MBA in Finance from Monmouth University.

John Kempf, CFA, has been named Managing Director and senior desk analyst in the energy sector. He has 28 years of financial industry experience, including 22 years covering credit on both the buy-side and the sell-side. Prior to joining R.W. Pressprich, Kempf worked for RBC Capital Markets, Barclays Capital, Goldman Sachs and Prudential. Institutional Investor recognized him as part of its "All-America Fixed Income Research Team" and named him the No. 2 ranked analyst for gaming and lodging four times, most recently in 2009. Kempf earned a B.S. degree at Bryant University, an M.A. degree at the University of Rhode Island, and an MBA at New York University.
