ProShares Names Richard Ledee Head of Capital Markets

E-mailBETHESDA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ProShares, a premier provider of ETFs, announced the appointment of Richard Ledee as head of capital markets. He will report to Steve Cohen, managing director of strategy, and will be based in the company’s New York office.
“Rich’s proven track record in ETF capital markets makes him a strong fit for this position,” said Cohen. “His industry relationships and deep understanding of the market ecosystem will be of significant value as we enhance our capital markets capabilities.”
Ledee brings more than 17 years of investment industry experience to ProShares. Most recently, he coordinated the start-up of Source Exchange Traded Investments, the U.S. office of a UK-based ETF issuer with $18 billion in ETF assets. Prior to that, he was director of ETF sales and marketing with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, having previously served on equity derivatives sales teams for the institutional and wealth management businesses.
Ledee is a Chartered Financial Analyst and is licensed as a securities attorney. He holds a Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University.
