Palmer Square Capital Management Hires Industry Veteran Vesta Marks

MISSION WOODS, Kan., Nov. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Palmer Square Capital Management, an asset management firm that invests across a diverse set of credit strategies including structured credit, corporate credit and non-traditional credit strategies such as long/short, announced the hiring of Vesta Marks, CFA, CAIA.  Vesta will serve as a portfolio manager focused on further building out Palmer Square's efforts in mortgage-backed securities.

Prior to joining Palmer Square, Marks was a managing director at Tradex Global Advisory services, where he oversaw the firm's mortgage credit involvement within its flagship hedge fund. Before helping launch Tradex's hedge fund, Marks served as a portfolio manager at Semper Capital Management, where he was responsible for investments in multiple strategies involving non-agency residential mortgage-backed (RMBS), commercial mortgage-backed (CMBS) and asset-backed securities (ABS). In addition to managing portfolios, Marks developed a comprehensive, loan-level CMBS model to re-underwrite the credits of legacy CMBS for opportunistic investing within the firm's hedge fund and absolute return products.
