Teamsters Issue Warning of ULP Strike as County Leaders Stall Bargaining

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif., Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- County of Orange workers, represented by Teamsters Local 952, will hold a press conference on Tuesday, Sept. 29 before the Board of Supervisors meeting to demand a fair contract. The 465 workers are calling on county leaders to deliver an agreement that values the work of the Teamsters who provide critical public services to more than 3 million county residents.

The press conference comes as Teamsters have filed an unfair labor practice charge alleging the county failed to bargain in good faith. The workers warn of a possible strike if an agreement is not reached, disrupting critical county services, including road maintenance, parks, and waste operations.
