New Plug Load Controller Measurably Reduces Electricity Consumption in Commercial Buildings

SUNNYVALE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/01/15 -- Enlighted, Inc., the leading provider of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for commercial buildings, launches its new Plug Load Controller, designed to significantly reduce unnecessary outlet energy use through intelligent control. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, 30 to 50 percent of U.S. commercial building electricity consumption can be attributed to plug loads.

"General office and miscellaneous equipment like computers, monitors, printers, projectors and TVs consume unnecessary energy when not in use," said Neeraj Purandare, VP Product Management, Enlighted. The Plug Load Controller works with sensors in the Enlighted System to transform outlets into smart receptacles controlled through occupancy or schedule-based on/off control. The Plug Load Controller is easily configurable with the Enlighted Energy Manager to provide advanced data on outlet energy consumption, carbon reduction, energy and financial savings, and helps achieve Title 24 compliance in California. The latest Energy Manager 3.4 software update provides added support for Enlighted's new Plug Load Controller, allowing for managing controlled power outlets.
